The 3-side seal pouch is a flat, streamlined packaging format formed from a single web of film that is folded along one edge and sealed on the remaining three sides. The fold becomes the bottom or side edge of the finished pouch, while the three sealed edges provide containment on all other sides. After filling, the open end is sealed to close the package.

This construction gives the 3-side seal a naturally flat profile with a clean, uninterrupted surface on the fold side — making it well suited for applications where display transparency or a printed window panel is important. The fold side can be produced in a clear film layer, giving consumers a direct view of the product inside. The format is also compatible with a wide range of barrier materials, including foil laminates and specialty films, helping maintain product freshness and shelf life.
